Our Philosophy of intervention

There is no drug addiction as a constant reality: there are many drug users, each one different from the next and even within himself, if we consider the timeline of his dependency and his personal experiences.
By providing only a single therapeutic answer, the individual is obliged to adapt himself to an intervention, which is not necessarily adequate to his dependency, thus implying a high risk of abandonment or failure.
For this reason, it is the therapy that has to be adapted to the individual, and not vice-versa. Hence the need for a comprehensive range of opportunities for drug users, based on an accurate diagnosis of his pathology.
Over many years, Villa Maraini has never refused anyone, convinced that if a drug user who wants to give up is to be considered sick, whoever is still unwilling to give up is twice as sick, and requires extra attention."
